Pearl Cultural Experience Tour
How do the pearls of Uwajima form? How to distinguish good and bad pearls? This is the tour that Doi Pearl Co.,Ltd., recommends where you are able to both experience and learn about pearls in the actual aquaculture farm. We offer two types of courses, “Regular course” and “Special course.” Please enquire to us if you would like a group course. We have availability to provide these courses in English so please feel free to join us.
Pearl Culture Experience Tour Souvenirs Course
You can learn while actually experiencing the process of making pearls and how to distinguish pearls.
You can take the pearl you took out during the tour as an accessory.

Time required ▶ 1 hour to 1 hour and a half
Implantation (Viewing insert a nucleus in Akoya oysters)
Harvest (Choose one Akoya oysters and take a pearl out of it. You can take the pearl as a souvenir.)
Pearl seminar (You can deepen the knowledge of pearls such as how to distinguish high-quality pearls from low-quality pearls.)

Tour will be provided for each group.
Preschool children can participate with their families.

Pearls can be made into accessories like the photo below.
You can also upgrade to pendants, tie pins, bracelets and more. (Additional charge required)
